Hello Beautiful Delta Gammas!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and getting a lot of quality time in with friends, family, and loved ones.

A new year for our chapter is already underway and we are hitting the ground running! After a very successful 2008-2009 year, we are ready to make this year just as fun and exciting with creative events, new activities, and a lot of sisterhood bonding. Before going into what we have coming up, let’s reflect on just a few of the many accomplishments and events we had this past year:

• July 2008: Delta Gamma Alumnae Chapter Charter Re-Issued
• September 2008: Fall Kick-off at Fado’s Irish pub with 20 members in attendance!!
• December 2008: Cookie Exchange party to celebrate the holiday
• April 2009: Founder’s Day celebration with Nevada Blind Children’s Foundation
• June 2009: Five Stars to Alumnae Success Award received

Once again, for those that did not receive my email, a HUGE THANK YOU to our Executive Board for all of their dedication, support, and hard work in achieving our Five Star award. It would not have been possible without you!

Speaking of our Executive Board, I’d like to welcome two new additions. First, Stacy Vaughn has replaced Amy Lamare as VP Membership. Stacy’s primary role will be to keep in close contact with our members (you!) and make sure they are involved and informed with our chapter happenings as well as help expand our chapter participation to its full potential. You will be receiving emails from Stacy so keep an eye out!

Another amazing addition is Laura Armeni, our new Collumnae Chairwoman. Laura’s responsibilities will entail keeping in touch with the collegiate UNR chapter and letting us know of their events calendar and vice versa so we can be involved in various activities together. It is essential that each Alumnae chapter has a collegiate chapter to support and we want our graduating seniors to know we are here and welcome them with open arms! I’d like to thank and welcome both Stacy and Laura to the Executive Board—we look forward to a successful year with you ladies!

In keeping with our 5 star status, we have set 4 goals for our chapter this year:

• Achieve 5 star success award for second year in a row
• Increase membership at events
• Increase dues-paying members
• Collect 1,000 Box Tops/Labels for Education

Please help us in achieving our goals this year so we can broaden our horizons and allow our chapter to flourish!! Continue to read on for more information on what’s coming up this year and I hope to see all you ladies real soon!!
